Medical Science Expert (m/f)

The medical science expert's (m/w) responsibilities include correct labelling and identification of drugs and the creation and validation of informative texts such as information on the usage or the summary of product characteristics.

For instance, data gathered during clinical trials or preclinical examinations in cooperation with external experts (opinion formers) are edited in cooperation with the marketing and communications department and published in various media (scientific journals, review articles, on conferences, seminars, workshops) to support and substantiate the product information.

If the medical science expert (m/f) has the required practical experience, he/she may also act as information officer (m/f) according to § 74a AMG. In this function, he/she is not only responsible for compliance with AMG regulations, but also must ensure compliance with HWG requirements (German Medical Products Advertising Act). Depending on the corporate structure, the position of the information officer (m/f) may also be located within the regulatory deparment.

The scope of activities of a medical science expert (m/f) can vary greatly. The position has a clear service provider function for internal as well as external customers and requires good communications and human relations skills.
